Individuals from the voluntary sector sit on numerous panels and forums throughout Hertfordshire. While they often bring valuable insights and experience from the voluntary sector, they cannot be said to “represent” the voluntary sector as a whole.

To establish a more transparent process and common standards, the CEO Network has adopted a Representation Protocol. The Hertfordshire Compact (the partnership agreement between Hertfordshire’s voluntary and statutory sectors) recognises the CEO network’s Protocol as the route through which representatives are appointed, accredited and held accountable by the voluntary sector.
