The Herts Charity CEO Network began in 2014 when a small group of CEOs met to discuss a collective response a consultation on Hertfordshire County Council’s “voluntary sector commissioning strategy”. This led to a bigger meeting of 60+ CEOs which agreed to set up the Herts Charity CEO Network.
The network is entirely free and very informal: it aims to improve communication within the local sector, encourage partnership working, co-ordinate a collective response to consultations, and help arrange representatives from the voluntary sector to sit on local panels and forums. We also want to support each other – and newly appointed CEOs – to do the best possible job for their charities and the people of Hertfordshire.
We always welcome new members and membership is open to any CEO or senior decision-maker within any independent, Hertfordshire-based organisation that is a registered charity, general charity or community interest company.
There is a small “steering group” elected by members. As well as occasional meetings of the full network, We also arrange occasional workshops and events, and support other people’s conferences and events.
